No.88 Bar and Grill, Kingston Upon Thames

Like this pub again, it's returned to its friendly chilled out old self. The staff are great, food seems to have picked up again, and all the regulars seems to be back. Keep up the good work.

Wyke Down Country Pub & Restaurant, Andover

Hmm odd pub. Good food but a bit pricey for what it is. Could do with dropping prices, more marketing to get people in to help with adding atmosphere and replacing some of their pool equipment. Friendly staff on the whole although feel sometimes get ignored in favour of regulars. I guess its more to serve the caravan business than the local community. Although they do sponsor some football teams I believe which means Sunday lunch time if often busy with them.

The Portway Inn, Andover

Fantastic staff (especially Chris - Great customer service skills). Nice modern pub, fairly reasonable prices and good food when the Chef turns up. My advice, get a good Chef this place could be a gold mine!! Senior Management could do with ensuring their staff clean up more reguarly other than that great pub!!!

The Foresters Arms, Andover

Fantastic pub, lovely staff, new menu and chef are really good. Its the only part of Andover life I will miss when moving back to London. Thanks Anne & Dave for always making me feel welcome!!!

The Twickenham Tup, Twickenham

Best pub in Twickenham if you want fun, good music, great food, a great selection of beer and friendly staff who always want to chat (No moody faces here). Believe you me having drunk there for many years and experiencing many staff and managers (and I used to work there), you won't get better if its community and sports adicts you want. Well done Simon and the team - keep it up we love you. (and the beer lines are great now proving you listen to your punters). Whenever I am back 'home' I'll be visiting and dancing on the bar again.

The Crown, St Margarets

Yes Mr Bull Dog but this pub does Thai Food well and for a reasonable price there are plenty of cardboard chip emporiums in Twickenham (try the George)!!! Keep up the good work, a lovely family pub, good food, fab Belgium White beers, great Jazz band practice out the back of a summer evening in a back room and the music floods the garden and makes for great evenings under their decorative and calming garden awnings. Avoid during midday rush in summer if you don't like sharing your space with kids, the mini-adventure playground is very popular.

The White Swan, Twickenham

Be careful what you say about the cooking, the chef is a very good Portuguese mate of mine, however I can agree about the veg being slightly over cooked but then as they are owned by the same peeps as the Tup perhaps it is a "Massive" veg thing. Anyway lovely place for a summer dinkies or a nice port and brandy on a winters night. Friendly staff and wear your wellies at high tide the toilets flood!!

The George, Twickenham

Nasty place I last visted in 2002 for Karaoke competion....I know don't say it....almost got decked by a 40 year old who was upset I could sing, only to be contfronted by her under aged daughter in the toilets. Will not ever go back here....always a police car outside of a Saturday night so I guess the same kinda poeple still drink there. Does well as extra shelter for the bus stop outside though. LOL

The Hook, Line and Sinker, Twickenham

I tire of the singlite thirty somethings who sit in here and longingly look over the road to the equally single gangs of thirty somethings in the Bear.....atomsphere it lacks and anyone I've ever talked to in there has had a "biological Clock" issue or large Chips on their shoulders....(my other half is a thirty something so no offence but at least he has some get up and go enough not to sit in this pub!!) Even the late licence seems to have disappeared. I got chucked out as they wanted to close early last year and to be fair haven't been in since.

The Three Kings, Twickenham

My liddle' London Irish hide away. Frequented by Young and Old (my grandparents drink there sometimes argggh), great "swing those pants with Celtic Yodeling" kinda fun.(Yes the McManus boys are at it again, although probably not as they are recording an album I belive). Great nights, good beer and in the middle of a refit when I went past on bus over the weekend. I will stop by and see when they re-open and post a note.

The Cabbage Patch, Twickenham

I only venture to this pub when seriously hammered on a rugby day and I've lived in Twickenham for a very long time...don't think I need to say more. Take your meat stick if you are not in the mood for top room letching....apart from that girls the rugby talent is AOK...just don't expect him to hold a conversation with you. oooh b4 I forget great number of pool tables...can't remember how many downstairs...I was too drunk last time I played there but had a good laugh.

The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

I love this pub. The staff, location and locals (like me) are so friendly...the only thing is the food is a bit "microwave" friendly. Not one for the home cooked meals unless its Sunday I am afraid...but lunch time snacks are good. One of the only places in Twickenham who actually knows how to clean his lines properly!!!! Guinness is always good.
