The Green Dragon, Combe St Nicholas
We have been here a number of times now being new to the area, very interesting wood carvings by the landlord, worth the visit for the quirkyness. Had one meal we found very enjoyable on a quiet night. Also went there for a local band , one of the best nights out in a while, as strangers felt welcome and good music. Might be a bit daunting if you wanted to have a chat over the noise but really lively.

Great Views. Carvery enormous, we sometime take a walk here from Chard and work off the food on our way home, but limited flair, its sort of a place my Nan would like , lacking choice of Ales and Cider, nothing amzing apart from location.

Ive found this a good local pub, we like the non fussy menu and the landlord and lady both went out of their way to greet us on a busy night when a band was playing, atmosphere good and staff freindly. Interior well thought out, Still a traditional feel even after recent refurbishment. Enjoyed the real ale and cider here :-)

Rather Drab, but in line with all other cloned pubs, does offer a good selection of real ales and ciders to sample, and staff extreamly friendly but overworked under pressure to keep up with business. Tables could be cleaner and more staff behind bar who are fully versed with till, maybe, Would have like just one person taking drinks orders only, slow to serve we had a half hour wait for two beers while other people ordered food, bit frustrating as we only dropped in for a a quick drink and were on our way out somewhere else.

Nice little pub, real ales and cider selection. Food only lunchtimes -no evening menu at time of writing. Freehouse. Orignal Pub no airs and graces.

Cotley Inn, Chard
Visited this pub shortly after new owners took over, we were greeted by the landlord, very friendly and welcoming. Yet to sample food, lovelly location in quiet hamlet. Previously experiences of old owners of it being closed on Sunday lunchtime after a long walk there now truly forgotton.
