The Clifton Hotel, St John's Wood
Looks like the pub has shut for good. No advance notice from the Convivial Pub Group. They have just closed the pub down overnight.

A large group of us visted last week en route to Brechin. Found a fantastic pub with friendly staff and locals. Despite our group all arriving at the bar at the same time, we were served quickly and I had a couple of pints of very good Guinness. Will certainly be back when in the area again.

I've started using this pub as a convenient stop off between my flight getting in to Glasgow airport and my train departing from Gilmour street. Decent pint of Guinness and have found the staff and manager friendly.

Visited for the third time last Saturday afternoon and it was busy as usual. Great friendly atmosphere and good service. Had a pint of Landlords Choice and it was wonderful. Even managed to purchase a goody bag for my dog at the bar.

The Salt House, St John's Wood
The pub changed hands just before Christmas. Its now well run by a new management team, has 4 well kept real ales on. On my last visit they had Timothy Taylors Landlord, Abbey ale, Darkstar Hophead and Adnams Jack brand Mosaic pale ale. Well worth a visit.
