The Parson Woodforde, Weston Longville

I have to add a review to balance the last one. I have been to this pub several times over the last 18 months and the staff have always been pleasant and helpful, the food is good ... which it should be, because it is not cheap. On one occasion they catered a buffet for 20 guests. I was a little unsure when I first saw the proposed menu "sausages on sticks, quiche etc" but the food was excellent. There is a lot of difference between a fresh homemade quiche and one from a packet and my guests and I were well satisfied. I have never drunk beer in this pub, perhaps it is something about the smart modern decor which makes me reach for the wine list :-)

The Limes Hotel, Needham Market

I really like this pub. Last Saturday lunchtime I had a fine pint of Landlord and a suet steak and merlot pudding which was very yummy and worth all of �10. I usually sit in the front (Bugs) bar, it has more character and is quieter, so good for an adult lunch with a friend. The back bar tends to fill up with families eating

The Fox, Pakenham

The Fox is much improved under the new landlords Ian and Bekka who arrived this autumn. There are now five real ales available, two or three Adnams and two or three interesting guest ales, all well kept. The food is good pub grub, well presented and reasonably priced. You will definitely need to book for Sunday lunch and it would be a good idea at other times too. They have started occasional live music sessions
