The Fox Inn, Souldern

This pub's rating should be way higher and reflects on previous landlords.

The food here is consistently excellent and the surroundings are lovely.

The couple who run the place are very friendly too.

Prone to the odd group of toffs but I'm being picky.

Plough and Anchor, Kingswood

Took my Wife here on a recommendation from a friend.

The food was really very good indeed - the Chef is a bit of a genius.

Just remember to take your chequebook and pen, as prices certainly reflect the quality.

And don't even think about asking for tomato sauce.

Also, this place seems purely a Gastropub, I imagine you would feel a bit in the way if you called in just for a pint.

The Rose and Crown, Charlton

Agree with previous comment by Runningdog.

Pub serves good value food but could go the extra mile and be really good.

Have taken big groups there in the recent past and landlord acts like he is doing you a bit of a favour despite spending out. Smile mate, it's alright you know!

The Plough Inn, Adderbury

Took the missus for a meal at this pub.

Was "welcomed" at the bar by the landlord who came across as sarcastic and abrasive. Seemed to want to bizarrely score points for no reason whatsoever.

Sat down and looked at an un - inspiring menu before leaving a fiver to cover the drinks and going somewhere much better.

This place used to be alright.
