Tucked away in a less than welcoming estate, this pub is like an oasis of normality in the pub world. It used to sport an interesting array of Laurel & Hardy memorabilia but this was all swept away when it changed hands about a year ago, the fittings are now average and forgettable. There are lots of seats and a central bar that serves both the main & "locals" bars. Beer is OK but not too adventurous however this pub is all you could want from a friendly local.

The Cherry Trees, South Norwood
I've known this pub since it was called "The Railway Tavern" but rarely venture in these days. The external decor is in urgent need of attention if the casual commuter is to be tempted in. Beer is OK but there's not a lot to commend it.

It's certainly one of my favourite pubs in the centre of Leeds. Unpretentious with no frills but the beer is always excellent and the food nutritious. There's not many pubs like this left so I advise you pay a visit before it's too late!

The Busfeild Arms, East Morton
I've never been there but know someone who lives 50 yards away and she says it's a bit cliquey! Oh and it's spelled "Busfeild" not "Busfield".
