Not a very inviting pub, looked good from the outside but interior needs alot of work. Poor range of beers and foreign bar staff didnt understand what I was asking for.

The William Web Ellis, Twickenham
Not your usual Weatherspoons. In the evenings it stops being a Weatherspoons and becomes a 'night club' type pub with DJ and dance floor. Music though is quite varied, have suffered modern dance music but last weekend they played 70s music!! Still though mostly for younger clients. Typical JD prices and fair selection of beer.

The best pub anywhere near Reading. A true free house with commercial beers totally missing. Excellent real ale and cider.

Good cheap food, excellent in the summer, with a nice garden. A family pub (plenty of children) lacks atmosphere

A dissappointment. Looked impressive, a true hisorical pub. But lacked a welcoming atmosphere inside and had run out of food.

A Real Pub. If you like clean bright chain pubs with fake chemical alchopops avoid this one

The Toby Carvery, Lower Earley
Visited it a couple of years ago and wasnt impressed. But service is now quite good. Probably only worth visiting for food. Very good prices

The Earley Retreat, Lower Earley
A local pub and nothing special. But friendly staff, good food and fair prices

The Magpie and Parrot, Shinfield
An unusual pub, seems like someones house. Two small cosy rooms and a small bar. Only two beers on tap, although one was a guest beer. An interesting experience.

Fairly quiet for a Saturday evening. However at about 10.30 the bar manager warned us that they were letting out the 'bar animal'. I had fears of a massive German shepherd/wolf appearing from the bar. However... suddenly from a neighbouring fireplace appeared a black bunny!!!! It hopped around for the rest of the evening looking quite happy..
The pub appeared to have quite an interesting selection of food. Plenty of different fish dishes and various meat courses with strawberries. Fortunately rabbit was not on the menu.

The Farriers Arms, Reading
Returned to the pub to try the food. Arrived at 5pm. Various food deals were heavily publicised outside and inside the pub. There were comprehnsice detailed menues on every table. On the menue was a special deal for a two-course meal, which was very cheap if you ordered before 6pm.
We were just making up our minds when a member of the bar staff came to tell us that the kitchens were closed until 6pm....We left
