For me one of the best pubs on the island. Very good selection of ales, really friendly, good food. I try to visit as often as I can.

Nice pub, good selection of well kept ales, friendly knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit.

Was sorry that I was only able to visit on Thursday evening of the beer festival last weekend - grand selection of ales - and the improved garden area was really good. Looking forward to the next festival, although there does always appear to be a good selection of beers on at the Hope, festival or not.

The Sportsmans Rest, Porchfield
What a nice pub. Visited on a Sunday. Very good food, friendly atmosphere, and well kept ale - only two on, but lets be honest, it's not a large pub, so better to have two good ales than to try for more and them end up past their best.
The guvnor was very friendly, and the staff all went out of their way to be helpful.
Strongly recommend a visit if you are in the area.
