Proper boozer, very much a locals pub but fills up with an eclectic mix on matchdays. Beer usually in good nick, several comfortable rooms, good outdoor smoking area and well maintained loos. Quirky but very enjoyable quiz night on Thursdays.

Agree with Shorty, I think the new licensees haven't put their own stamp on the place. The beer range is excellent and well maintained, the surroundings nice but the place doesn't really have the 'feel' of The Crown. Not criticising, I'll give it 7 out of ten, would have been 10 out of 10 if Jack was still behind the bar :-)

Classic Robbie's pub, well maintained and serving nice pints, music far too loud though.

Big disappointment, really bad smell in the back of the pub, unfriendly, uncommunicative barman. We left after a pint, why would you drink here with the Falcon 5 minutes away?

Was in here last week after ten year absence. Delighted to see the same excellent old-school licensee behind the bar. Lovely pints of Sam Smiths, comfortable settings and everything spotless, highly recommended.

Nice relaxed pub with a quirky mix of regulars, decent pint (keg only) and friendly staff. Could do with a bit spending, especially on the toilets. I've tried every pub in Holyhead over the years whilst waiting for ferries and this has always been a safe bet.

Hadn't been here for a year or so, disappointed to see Tony, Dave and seemingly all the customers gone. Whereas it was always a bit grotty, it had a strong local presence and always a bit of atmosphere. I fear the new licensee is aiming for a clientele that isn't there with the location and all.

Cross Keys Hotel, Llandudno
Very tired looking place now, 2.80 for a pint of very ordinary bitter. Staff friendly and attentive and they seemed to be doing a good food trade.
