Quick half while waiting for a train. Nice looking clean pub, if I had time be worth staying for longer.

THE ESB was fine, BUT A PINT OF LAGER WOULD SET ME BACK OVER 5 QUID! GAVIN AND HIS GUITAR STILL PLAY HERE!

£4,65 for some bland lager, what can I say over priced, full of idiots who can't stop shouting and causing a scene, bar staff are more interested in small talk with immature folk. Afraid this doesn't interest me, Kings Head is much better.

I had a pint of Fullers ESB the other day and it cost £4.10 for a beer. I sat at one of the tables towards the far end of the pub and then I left.

Today I went to the Geoff Ogily pub in Woking, this is an interesting pub with interesting beer and food. It even does poker nights and shows plenty of sport.

I had a pint of beer and a Burrito someone served me and sat at a table by the window and you can even watch people walk past, that is what happens!

Pint of Olivers Island. Amazingly weak beer but drinkable. They do Monday darts nights now but where is the darts board?

Very disappointing on a Monday, but I can't blame the staff. Staff were mine today. Not that long a wait to get served but the customers who come here must be some of the most annoying. Godalming does attract some annoying people.

Pub has now opened again. Excellent tasting real ale and the interior is much smarter and brighter than previously. Very good.

Well i've never had a smile off the bar woman here. I think she is foreign, very empty pub unless there is Rugby on. Bland but ok and a spacious beer garden

Nice and empty. Food was alright too. Expensive food though. Beer range is alright with Timothy Taylor being the best ale. Service was quick, medium friendly.

Excellent range of real ales and they are good value. The food is also good value.

£5 for a Stella as well mate. I like the beer garden though. Surely it should open before 5pm and get decent trade.

Barman seems like a bit of a numpty. The big guy. The beers also taste bad almost always and though they claim to have a good selection, most of the ales are either off or not available. Lacks a class in here, acceptable pub for a quick one and has sports on TV. Pool table is crap and a rip off.

I assume Steve is the landlord. Seems like a nice enough chap. Put itself is devoid of much life or anything going on. How can they make pubs more interesting again? Still an ok pub for a Fullers piss up.

Got served in a half friendly manner! Beers never excite but typical and reasonable Fullers. Too many kids for my liking and a bit messy today. Still better than the Stoke!

Dreadful service. I've never found the staff ever want to serve me. Is it because I don't have the right look? I'm not waiting 5 minutes to get served when the staff are either not behind the bar or are doing some other task like cleaning glasses! The food is unreliable as well!

The place was very disappointing this Sunday. Staff seemed all over the shop pouring a beer while chatting away to staff members. Indeed the staff were much more interested in chatting among themselves than serving customers. Pretty poor, I know the staff tend to change regularly and its much worse at weeekends as its full of students. Could be much better!

To be fair this is reasonably interesting, but only if you're drunk and enjoying the atmosphere. Otherwise it isn't interesting. Greene King pubs struggle to be interesting.

I'm struggling to say this is an interesting pub. Shepherd Neame pubs struggle to be very interesting at all. At least it does have some history and is an old pub with some musical history as well.

This pub isn't very interesting as I think NoDisgrace has pointed out. I am trying to find something interesting to say about it but struggling. At least Gavin and his Guitar find this an interesting pub, he never seems to get bored of it at all.

This pub isn't very interesting at all. I don't see what is good about it, the beer range has an acceptable selection I suppose but the pub itself is not interesting. At least it is spacious and reasonably empty.

I went here today and yesterday for lunch. The food isn't especially interesting but does at least have more choice and is tastier than most other pubs have to offer. This pub also has better drinks selection. Just avoid the very boring Doom Bar, Hogs Back TEA and Greene King IPA which are all not very interesting beers at all.

Visited here the other day and there isn't anything especially interesting about this pub, but it is at least a bit older than the others and has more real ale so a bit more interesting than some of the other pubs in this not very interesting town.

Visited here the other day and it was being refurbished. Nothing interesting about a pub being refurbished unless it will eventually be better.
19 Aug 2016 16:16
I visited here and had a very expensive pint of London Pale Ale. The beer is much too expensive for what it is. The pub itself was basically empty and devoid of life. This is either a good or bad thing depending on personal tastes. Nothing interesting about the pub, it is very average.
19 Aug 2016 16:16
I visited here mid week for a pint of beer and to watch the Olympics. The beer range did not appear inspiring. I had a pint of olympic beer for £4.50 or so. Very expensive for an average pub.

The Kings Head, Guildford
Gavin and his old Guitar my friend!
Even a Guiness costs 4.45, I'm beginning to lose interest in this once great pub!
