Typical 'spoons pub, nothing else to say - oh apart from poor old Wilf would be spinning in his grave

Every town needs one of these - to keep the underclass out of the decent pubs
Shocking

This pub is a legend, it's where practically the whole town meets late on, usually good music (bar for Sat nights)

Landlord is as mad as a March hare but really good pub for real beer drinkers

Good boozer - struggling at the moment with the resurgent 2 doors up, it will get back to it's former glory soon

Right - ok, I've been back and it was much MUCH better than last time, I stand by those comments as that was the experience I had, I'll put it down to an off night. The Cartwrights weren't exactly the last word as hosts I know (John the barman could be very rude) so maybe i shouldn't have made them out to sound like saints.
Anyway, this time, the food was nice and the beer excellent and a nice atmosphere about the place, it was busy

Used to do great food and have great beer and have a lovely atmosphere. New people came in, took it downmarket and now is full of slack jawed cletus types and other assorted riff raff. A crime as it was a lovely pub, ruined by an idle landlord who couldn't care less

No way! The Sun's still wonderfull, real ale, great music, lively atmosphere. The Prince is lousy, rotten keg beer and locals who glare at you and get their banjos out. Dreadful

This pub is slowly going down market since the new people came in, no real ale and have now opted for pleasing the chav market by having a dreadful disco / kareoki on a Saturday.
