The Watermans Arms, Richmond

Great little pub. Often pop in when I'm in the area. Had a bottle of the fantastic Young's Kew Gold beer which was reasonably priced.

Brouge, Bistro and Belgian Beer Cellar, Richmond Upon Thames

Popped in last night for a shifty. Looks very nice. Excellent range of beers not just from Belgium but worldwide too. Also serve beer-cocktails, Fruli, beer magnums etc too. Food looks good. Was very busy last night but is quieter during the day, so the barman told me. Nice, busy atmos. Will go back soon.

The Hope and Sirloin, Farringdon

Very average pub. I've been here just twice but my experience yesterday means I doubt if I will go back (there are better places to go). Asked the bar man if the pub had cranberry juice. He did not fully understand me, so my partner asked the question again. Finally, he said 'yes' so we ordered a pint and a vodka and cranberry juice. Pint was OK but tasted of chemicals. The V&Cj turned out to be a shot of vodka in a tall glass which was then filled to the top with...... blackcurrant cordial! After much discussion we finally managed to get a vodka and cranberry juice but it really shouldn't be this problematic. Plus they were playing techno-drum-and-base music very loud. This really isn't a drum and base kinda place. Very disappointed indeed, I was.

The Town Wharf, Old Isleworth

Just thought I'd mention this in case the owners are reading... I was at the Town Wharf on Sunday when a party of about 6 arrived. One of the party was an elderly lady who needed a frame to help her walk. The party decided not to stay as there is no access for disabled people. The bar on the ground floor was shut and the seats outside can only be accessed by the steps. Surely, with this in mind, it would make more sense to open the downstairs bar and have the upstairs bar open if and when the pub gets busy.
