Looks like Sussannah is out on her ear and dirty
Reg up to his usual standard of no stock! No ale when i called in. Pub looks shabby and dirty. No curtains at the windos and paint flaking off outside. A stalwart few of the locals still patronise it ~ but for how long? What a dump and so disappointing compared to what it was just over a year or so ago.

Back in the area for a short while and decided to check on what is going on at The Bull. Sussannah is trying hard but it is just a poor regurgitation of what Lynne and Garrett did - and did so much betterthan you have. It would be nice to see the Bull moving forward - but at the moment it is unfortunately a poor imitation of what went before. Sussanna - don't copy Lynne and Garrett - you cant - make your own mark. Curry nights, quiz nights - they did it so much better - think of your own ideas and you may be better respected.

I know she's new - but where is the cutting edge? Haven't they got to grips with what's really going on the ale front? Come back Garett - you really knew where ale was going. NOT A SAD REGURGITATION OF SAME OLD BREWERIES. for gods sake be adventurous and look at the future not the past. Garrett did this - same
breweries 5 years ago. Yawn yawn!

Oh dear - I think the people who use this site know when a landlord manipulates whats going on! A bad review and two first time users leap to its defence. Obviously dirty reg and his minions are pulling a few strings with the locals. Original comments would be much less defensive"

Oh god - no more the Bull as it used to be! Word on the grapevine is that dirty Reg is back. If so unless you are from the travelling community - give this pub a wide berth in future!

As I move away from darkest Kent to pastures new, I will miss The Bull and all therein. The beer, the food and the Company. I wish you all good luck and a Happy 2011. Rest assured that if I am ever this way - I will be sure to visit!

It ias a shame that thsi pub has deteriorated in the way it has - it was a fantastic little pub - good food, and if a bit samey - good beer - BRING BACK BOB!

you may say that - but it seems to me that this pub is :-
a) trying to manipulate the ratings and
b) trying to say that every other pub in the area has a vendetta against him!
I would hazzard a guess that all the other landlords in the area have better things to do than to spend their time on this website trying to win favour, such as cleaning their lines and serving good beer and food! I have absolutely no axe to grind - I was dissappointed in my visit and recorded this as such - what I imagined a review site was about - perhaps all local landlords should use thsi site to advise of the awards won etc, etc... and take it out of the hands of the genuine reviewer.....

Off course my reviews must be bogus, as I prefer several other local pubs that are NOT the Fighting Cocks - but none of them are trying to manipulate their ratings!

This pub could be so much better - strange russian? lady served me - didn't have a great grasp of english, however a decent pint in good condition

Had a really nice experience here - the staff were polite and friendly. The food was very good and the beer nice - a definte recommendation

Had a lovely evening here on Sat. Moules on the menu were probably the best I have ever had! Great beer choice in fantastic condition, including Dogbolter - something I've not seen for years!

This pub has posted a request on their Facebook site for their 'friends' to post a review on here. They obviously cannot rely on bone fide reviews. Makes a mockery of this site! Customers beware - the reviews may be spurious!

I have been watching this with interest - another '0' review with no comment! When will the administrators of this site get wise to these spoilers. It is now getting to the stage where no one takes any notice of ratings anymore. This pub actually goes from strenght to strength. 8 ales on this weekend with one so rare that only 3 casks have been produced! Zero rating - get real!

I ventured back here after a year having read the recent reviews and to see if the food and ale were improved. The new conservatory is very nice if lacking somewhat in ventilation - I hate to think of what it will be like in the summer! The food was an improvement on what I had previously. However, on the saturday night that I visited for some bizzarre reason, they were hosting a karaoke competion - the singing certainly did nothing for my digestion and my partner found it almost unbearable - as did some of the other diners near us.
What made matters even worse, some of the (disgruntled?) karaoke particpants rounded off the evening with a fight in the car park!!!
This is a pub that as yet, clearly does not know where it is going. If they want to attract destination food customers, ghastly warbling throughout their meals and a subsequent brawl is not the way. My advice to anyone who wants to eat here is to check that the saturday night karaoke is not on!

Just visited after some time. The beer was drinkable - just! The food average at best.

Aest Kent POPTY and well deswerved! A fantasic selection of 11 ales personally sourced by the landlord . A magnificent carribean buffet cooked by the landlady! what a treat - is ther a better pub in Kent - I think not!

I had one of the worst meals here that I have ever had. Had to return my wine twice as it was too warm and my partner returned his beer. We paid over �90 for three of us - over-priced, under value and appalling quality.

This is the sort of place to go if you have kids - don't go for a romantic meal - the food is average - too many options for it not to be bought in - and children running all over! The locals seem to hold sway over the pub - I was in the process of being served when a group of locals came in and I was left high and dry until the bar person served them! Ale was tired too.

thought it was a Reg free zone! What a disappointment - at least Keith the criminal may have done a better job for the locals than dirty Reg!
Pub was shut by licensing as there was no on site licensee - Reg must have conned the licencing as it was opened again - still no on site personal license holder! Reg is obviously above the law - and still unable to run a decent pub for local people! Give this a wide barth - it is now CRAP!
