Lunch was good but overpriced, nice enough Pub, Bar lady was bit of a Sgt.Major type, not as relaxing as I would hope for a lazy Luncheon, lots of entertainment planned but found the advertising to be a bit overpowering. No Garden but a nice patio area out back. Pub was very clean and tidy nicely decorated but lacked atmosphere !

Have dined here twice now and I have to say the Food is excellent the Steaks are of the best quality and today's Sunday Roast was delicious,my Friends ate here on Friday and Saturday last week! service has much improved and the atmosphere in the Bar is very pleasant (even though the Football was on the Tellybox!),Tom and Jackie are hard working and go out of their way to welcome you,I heard an elderly Lady comment on how well looked after she felt. All in all a nice place to be, we look forward to our next visit.

Unfortunately met some Friends here for Lunch I wanted to try a Pub local to me in Oxted as I've heard the Food is excellent plus last time I visited I was very impressed with the Service, I was out voted as a couple in our group live closer to here. Nice enough to sit outside, if you can get a Table, its quite a small area, inside is soulless, Staff are pleasant, a tall young lad served us and he was very attentive. Just get the impression that they cant wait to get your money other Staff seemed very pushy and annoyed when you didn't order Dessert or Coffee, its very over priced luckily we only had one Glass of Wine each at £7 that's ridiculous, food nothing exciting although my Calamari Starter was nice the rest was mediocre. Our bill came to £84 for Lunch ! 2 Starters 4 Mains 4 Glasses of Wine & Sparkling Water, they are trying to be something they are not, can't say I will be rushing back.

I have just joined BITE was a regular few years ago but got a bit fed up with all the false postings, took another look and seems to have improved, The Bell is clean, Staff are efficient, Good Beer, nice enough atmosphere but its not really a Pub more of an eatery but pleasant enough even if not my type of place.

Bit Like a Fish Bowl, typical Spoons but better than most, depends on what time of Day you visit as to level of Service, food has much improved

Much improved since the new Landlord/Lady took over it appears they know what they are doing, staff are much more attentive and efficient they actually make conversation now instead of texting. Beer is very good, so my Husband tells me, we had stopped using this Pub for a while as it seemed the Clientele where taking over slightly , not just our opinion I know of a few other People who felt the same. Hopefully its sorted now and we have a good Village Pub to frequent. My Neighbour tells me the food is excellent we will sample very soon. Keep up the good work.

The Diamond, Hurst Green
Ate here last Night with 4 Girlfriends and the Food/Service was superb, what I love about this place is that nothing is too much trouble you really do feel like you are chilling out round a Mates House, they always remember your name and make a fuss. Jackie was cooking last Night and made time to leave the Kitchen to come and chat even making our Coffees which was a nice touch.Loving the new Menu by the way its got something for everyone and the Specials Board is full of Yummies. The Bar was very busy I always manage to come on Footie Days but the atmosphere is so Friendly this never makes a difference to anyone Dinnig. If you havent paid the Diamond a visit yet you don't know what your missing.
