This pub under the right management has real potential, particularly with the decent sized garden hence child friendly and ample parking. As it is, like many other reviewers, I found the service interminably slow and the lack of punters means no atmosphere. What struck me most was the fact that despite the pub being almost empty, the tables were covered in glasses, bottles and general debris. The cycnic in me wonders whether the pub is being left to go to pot in the eventual hope of redeveloping this extensive plot for flats and house. At lease then the place would serve a useful purpose for those of us who live in Horley.

Didn't really do it for me. Been in a couple of times on a Sunday afternoon and has been quite pleasant. Spitfire was well kept but pub lacks atmosphere except when it's filled up with beered-up youngsters in which case you're better off moving on.

Rowdy pub but outside areas OK and have adequate heating. Blaring music in the evening make conversation a no-no, and there is a general undercurrent of hostility. Drinks are good value if your sole aim is getting bladdered and shouting and screaming. Probably the worst pub in Horley, and that's saying something.

Good selection of beers and lagers. Probably the best pub in Horley, very local clientele and generally friendly. Good staff but need to stop serving people who have had too much to drink. Has garden and good heating with gazebo, unfortunately not much sun due to adjacent high building. Has regular live entertainment but need to ditch the disco.

Ye Olde Six Bells, Horley
Predominantly a food pub and by all accounts the food is pretty good. The same can't be said for the real ales that I tasted last year. Illustrates the point that if you can't keep your real ales properly peole will drink elsewhere. This is a pretty pub which I will try out again next summer unless we are fortunate enough to get some decent weather later this year.
