This is possibly the worst pub in the whole world. Full of sreaming kids and parents who don't give a sh*te, as for the beer or food, don't even go there. kevmac - 18 Apr 2014 20:18 |
It's fitting that it's called the Air Balloon because when I'd eaten my last meal here and drunk some of their gassy beer, I was full of wind !! peterwarlock - 18 Apr 2014 18:11 |
Walked in on a Saturday tea time and walked straight our again as it was like a kids club! Probably fine if you have kids and want to eat with them but for a beer as an adult without kids it wasn’t ideal. lezford - 29 Jan 2014 12:21 |
What a perfect location, great parking and vast size of a place, thats all it has going for it. The food is fine if you like every thing deep fried microwaved or boil in the bag with little or no fresh ingredients, when it arrived and then only half the meal... So so disappointed none of the family were impressed or satisfied with the meal including non fussy 12 year olds, will never return again unless it changes ownership or at least management. Service is very poor, the staff are polite if somewhat demotivated and do their best but what a waste of an entire gold mine! As for the kids play area dirty and poorly maintained. Thought this would be a great pub to go to with our daughter for a Sunday lunch. What a mistake. Turns you you have to pay 3 for the kids to go into the small play area and you have to stay with them so cannot eat your lunch at the same time. The play room was small and cramped with juice spilled on the floor. The toilets had no soap, were filthy and there was toilet roll everywhere. The main restaurant was quiet (we found out why). We ordered food which was the worst food I've ever been served at a pub. Husbands pie was pure lard, kids pizza was one of those microwave ones and my "breaded" chicken was battered and deep fried. The clientele were mainly families swearing in front of their kids and wearing tracksuit bottoms. Will definitely find a different place next time. They should be ashamed of this place - have eaten the same meat at one in the same chain in Hyde in Manchester which was spot on and wonderful. faithnirvana - 19 Apr 2009 17:38 |
