Prefered it when it was Happy pig. Its always attracted yobs and coke heads, and thought this would change when the pub changed. It did for a little while but is steadily getting its old reputation back.I can see it being closed down. Alot of people in the area feel threatened by the sort of people attracted to waltham cross in the evenings and the stabbings that only seem to happen near this pub. Apart from this, the pub itself is ok and the staff are lovely and full of life. Shame..

after starting off at the james i come here, already drunk as its very expensive! I have a good dance and admire the fact that i'm in a far better state than every one else. its an attractive pub, with good music. Staff are pretty miserable, takes ages to get served.But i guess that makes your drink last as you wont have enough money for another! Not to keen on the fact that the bouncers ask fellas who are obviously old enough, for their I.D and then I.D women by starin at their breasts as they walk through.I used to really like this pub but i'm slowly changing my mind.:(

I always start off in this pub when i'm planning on a fun night out. It has a fun atmosphere, and is the cheapest pub around. With plenty of seats and standing room, booths and a restaurant area.The toilets are always clean and the bar staff very polite.I have nothing to fault this pub on in all honesty. I have never whitnessed any trouble here which is surprising as i have in nearly all the other pubs in the area at some point, yet this is the pub i drink in most. I have met some wonderful people in this pub!And hopefully will carry on doing so!

Vine Inn, Waltham Cross
If you thought this pub was nice before, you should definately go back!!! its recently had a make over(quite a big one) The restaurant area is beautiful with comfortable seats and is nicely decorated! The food is really good. The service, well you just can't fault it. These workers try really hard to please and it shows!! The bar area is relaxing. Kids are welcome here. Its somewhere you can take the whole family!Ate in here 2 days ago and had already made plans to go back before i had left. Its what this area needs!
