This is not a pub any more. It's a chain restaurant called Côte Teddington. EldridgePope - 23 Jun 2015 13:31 |
The New Royal Oak is a modern bar specialising in craft beers from around the world alongside English ales and lagers. They have a fantastic chef and an ecclectic menu. They do an English breakfast scotch egg which is to die for. My favourite tipple is the innes & gunn on draught. tilly - 6 Jul 2013 23:02 |
Closed and demolished years ago. There is now a modern bar on the site called...The Oak! JDchaser - 13 Jun 2013 21:35 |
I went into the new Oak last Friday and was really surprised. From the outside it looked like it may be 'chain' pub (it isnt) but went in anyway under recommendation. Loved it! Really relaxed and lively atmosphere, great food, excellent bar staff (attentive, smart and care about serving/talking to you rather than talking to each other), and the most surprising... it wasn't actually expensive, at all. The wine and larger prices were the same if not less that what I pay in other local pubs, as was the food (I must point out I like to eat good food, not pub grub so you will find cheaper in pubs that defrost and deep fry their meals) and with 10% off everything in January is worked out even better value for money. Would highly recommend it and have already made my return visit. TeddingtonJane - 14 Jan 2008 14:20 |
Wife and I went in yesterday evening not really knowing what to expect, we never drank in the old pub. Refurb is very good and prices same as you'd expect anywhere in Teddington, we hadn't planned to eat but when we saw some of the dishes come out we thought we would, everything perfect and obviously freshly cooked. The Clientele was very mixed in age but no big crowds of yobs etc. Great evening, will try and come back with the lads one night. . TimmyL - 24 Oct 2007 18:26 |
