Another fairly average Teddington pub with some fairly standard beers - Fuller's London Pride, Young's Bitter, Sharp's Doom Bar & Atlantic & Twickenham Naked Ladies. There is a central bar with seating all round. An outside patio area was also in use, despite it being a fairly cold evening yesterday. blue_scrumpy - 13 Mar 2019 20:00 |
Ok but the likes of The Teddington Arms and Kings Head are barely a minutes walk away. TanJones - 6 Sep 2017 00:22 |
Nice enough if that isn't damning with faint praise, but the beer was adequate and the pub was reasonably well frequented by a friendly enough crowd. rainlight - 27 Aug 2015 18:28 |
Going Downhill Fast I recently stopped in at The Clockhouse for lunch with friends but was extremely disappointed. The food menu was extremely limited and when I asked if there was a 'Specials Board's, the giant girl who was supposed to be serving me said ' Take it or leave it' ? Almost immediately she turned up the piped muzak so we were unable to hear the cricket. I asked to speak to the manager she replied that she was the acting manager. At this point, my friends wife told her that she was obviously not acting very well in our opinion. We were then told to leave our drinks and get out as we were banned. As a middle aged professional group we declined and suggested she either refund us the cost of our drinks or we would finish them in our own time (which we did). TheChairmen - 23 Jun 2014 16:16 |
Nice pub, nice staff, nice beer. Unfortunately, the main TV is half broken and has been for over 6 months. Staff keep on saying the owner is getting an new one, but now just shrug their shoulders. Seems stupid to show Sky sports and yet have a crap picture. Use the Builders instead for sports, most of the old locals now do. Owner seems not to care, used to be the best pub in Teddington, going downhill, Also used to also be good for food, now hardly have anything on the menu and the specials board is nothing special!
