Nice enough pub with modernish interior, but you wouldn't want to settle in for the night - a bit lacking in ambience. mozzzzzz - 6 Nov 2012 12:27 |
Called for an early evening drink last night. The beer was a staggering 4.00 a pint-the most I've ever paid outside upmarket hotels. We also ate-the burgers at 12.00 a go. Neverthe less it's a jolly nice pub-the beer was well kept and served and the fod wasgood. huntforbeer - 6 Nov 2012 09:35 |
My recent comment referred to "god" when it should, of course, have said "food", I can't blame it on spellcheck, just arthritic fingers on the keyboard ! Barnes - 25 Jun 2012 09:41 |
24/06/12 : this evening we two, daughter, son-in-law and 11 year old granddaughter had an early dinner at the Glasshouse. Mains, puddings and drinks came to 96 - the god was delicious. My beer battered pollock was the best fish and chips I have had. The atmosphere was pleasant with a relaxed clientele at the bar. Sadly their CCTV wasn't working and our local constabulary took exception and forbad the further sale of food and drink !!!! Thus ruining the planned evening of many people and denying the pub considerable revenue. By 7.30 the place was empty. We were lucky in that we had just finished before the place was told to stop serving. The service was slick and cheerful. We will go back - hopefully when the CCTV is OK !!!!!
