The bogs are apparently not as grim as they used to be. Great pub from a dying breed (cf. the Gloucester Arms in Oxford) which is highly suitable for Goths, metallers, punks and other misfits while pints of Elsie Mo from the Castle Rock brewery and Blue Monkey Infinity went down very well. Britain needs these kinds of places to survive. BoehmBawerk - 7 Jun 2014 17:33 |
Probably my favourite pub in Nottingham. Great for heavy metal/rock fans. Gets very busy at weekends and service can be slow. But despite first impressions this is a friendly pub and a great night out. Just avoid the toilets and don't eat anything in here. Dannythepubcritic - 19 Feb 2013 19:16 |
no food at the moment but the new promo card is really good value, best drinks promos in nottingham! robertalister - 29 Mar 2012 12:23 |
Went in here for the first time after living in Nottingham for 47 years. I never knew there was such a pub in the city centre or I would have been in here before. Brought me right back to the late 70's Lots of leather, lace and bright stockings on show and that was just the men. Bet this place is jumping when there is a band on. Surprisingly good pint of bitter, mind is slipping, can't remember what it was. It is tru however that the bogs are grim. 427scr - 14 Sep 2011 17:27 |
I went to this pub for the 1st time ever yesterday, it's great. Friendly staff and punters, went and saw the live band upstairs and had a tiop time. The toilets are grim but who cares, i don't go anywhere for the bogs, Definitely worth going to if you like a good punk/rock/billy pub. conflictuk - 26 Mar 2011 17:31 |
