| Due to it mainly serving patrons of the cinema, it's generally very crowded. Fairly good selection of beer considering, and they do their own 'Broadway Reel Ale' which is very nice and reasonably priced. Decor is a bit staid. | Can be a bit hectic & busy at times, food v. popular despite not being that great, but great selection of booze & great staff, it's rising popularity has made it the hub of hockley, thriving while quite a few other places go down the pan. | Always liked this place; friendly staff, decent range of beers; not entirely convinced about the refurb. Lots of long refrectory tables; everyone sqaushed in together. Upsatirs bar is a bit soulless and if you want a draft beer, you have to buy it downstairs and take it up. On the bright side, they've just introduced a curry night; �9 for a curry plus pint of beer or glass of wine; well worth it, but come early as it gets very hectic. dhderby - 1 Feb 2007 17:49 |
