Had a pint in here on a Friday night whilst staying at the Three Swans, and then made use of the cheap breakfast on the Saturday morning. The pub is okay, but beer choice disappointing (I'm used to The Moon and Bell in Loughborough which has about 4 times more beers!). Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 26 Jul 2015 13:09 |
Went to this 'spoons last night with 3 other oldies for a few beers and eats before staying at local Travelodge. Typical 'spoons fare, slightly disappointed with beer choice (London Pride, Abbot, Broadside, Spitfire and one other) but staff very friendly and we loved the little 4-man cubbyholes. Feel slightly guilty about not supporting other pubs in the town, but as we were only in MH for one night and we had a thrifty Yorkshireman with us (is that racist?) 'spoons won the day. As gluttons for punishment we also returned the next day for good value breakfast! Would score this pub higher if beer choice on our visit was a bit more imaginative. boforbill - 10 Dec 2013 14:37 |
Visited on a Sunday morning when we had their breakfast. The pub was well set out and above average for a Wetherspoons. Beer choice was good, albeit on this occasion I gave it a miss due to the early hour. The pub was clean and the staff were friendly, whilst its central location make it ideal for anyone staying in the nearby Travelodge just around the corner. SouthYorkshireman - 11 Jun 2013 23:12 |

This isn't bad for a Wetherspoons. One that actually feels a bit like a pub and with reasonable beer. Can't really say a lot more in it's favour though. anonymous - 22 Aug 2009 19:33 |
