This place is now called 'The Goodridge',a Smith & Jones outlet. While its night time persona is probably unchanged,(Bud swilling chavs staring at the the big screen TV's) in the afternoon and early doors it ain't so bad.I get off the bus just near here and have been in several times. The young bar manager serves the real ale in it's matching glass, and keeps some of the tankards in the fridge if you prefer your ale extra cold.(I'm not a fan of room temperature stuff myself) Bombardier,Jennings Cumberland,Morelands Best Bitter and Green King IPA Gold, none more than 2.25 a pint, have all been available lately. If you are just after a quick cheap pint before strolling up to the nearby Coopers or Devy,it may be worth a look. greyhead - 1 May 2012 17:42 |

Typical "lets go out, get pissed and have a pint pub" full of thick beer boys, slutty girls and chavs, rubbish beer. anonymous - 1 Nov 2006 14:36 |
