Change of management and redecorated recently makes it a lot nicer and still has lively atmosphere. nivramkram - 22 Jul 2011 19:42 |
Heading south from Scotland this coming March, remember when it was called the Coach and Handbags, by reason of the old landlord, Valentine and his boy friends. chiefknut - 24 Jan 2011 15:10 |
Please delete this and my previous comment. I posted it by accident and I've never even been to this place :P MX7 - 24 Jul 2010 16:21 |
Delightful hotel pub. Great downstairs dining area. Beer selection is somewhat sparse, but is usually an agreeable selection of Jennings beers. A roaring fireplace in winter and great staff make visiting this little pub a pleasure. MX7 - 24 Jul 2010 16:19 |
Good old boozer that serves a couple of real ales and acceptable food. It's a pub of the old-school type so if you don't like places where 60-something year old guys prop up the bar, drink bitter and swear like troopers, it's maybe best avoided. Personally, I can't help but have a soft spot for the coach and horses. siddo - 10 Aug 2009 17:03 |
