| Having lived in the area all my life and having frequented this pub on a regular basis I feel that the negative comments posted about this pub are very misleading as I have found the pub to be very clean welcoming and the staff very hospitable with hardly any trouble with a good mixture of younger and older generations getting along very well. I eat here on a regular basis and the steak melts in the mouth! The Landlord and Landlady are very friendly and take time out to get to know their customers. Pop in and have a pint. | Being a relatively new customer to this pub I have to strongly suggest that the early reviews regarding this pub be removed. The Pub is under new management since some of the reviews were posted and I believe this site now misleads your readers. I have in the last 12 months found the pub to be exceptional. I personally eat in the pub at least twice a week. There are odd occassions when you will wait a little while for your meal but this is purely due to the fact that the produce is fresh and simply needs to be prepared. | Ringwood Best was ok but pub needs something more than one young kid running between bars. Watched a couple order food and don't know if they ever got it but they were waiting a very long time. If you do live in Burton it is a million times better than the Manor Arms and I would probably have to buy before I used it regularly. | The Oak Inn is now under new management and is undergoing a substantial revamp. A fresh new menu is being introduced. Children and dogs are welcome. The pub has friendly atmosphere with live music on Saturday nights. MickM - 16 Jul 2005 09:25 |
