Popped in here last Saturday for a pint (or two, as it happened)of Blindmans which was in superb condition. Lovely pub, but quiet at lunchtime. No longer doing food, except for parties pre-booked. Friendly welcome from Paul & Daria, who make it seem as though one was in their front room, which of course is quite true. Pretentious? No. Beer over-cooled? Not in this case. Atmosphere is there aplenty for those able to participate, and the place is worth a visit to see how it should be done. Grand_Mufti - 5 May 2014 12:08 |
What a lovely pub this is. Tried Blindman Golden Spring and Wickwar Cotswold Way and both were spot on. Had the best shepherd's pie I've eaten in ages. Selection of interesting books that you might actually want to read as opposed to random crap bought by the yard just for decoration. mousefan - 3 May 2011 19:28 |
Good home cooked food, a good selection of local ales (well looked after), and lunch for two (two main meals and two drinks) came too 14, what more can you ask for. Also one of the only pubs in Somerset that actually sells a farmhouse cider. P.S great selection of books on the shelves aswell. KingRaama - 3 Feb 2008 12:19 |

Very relaxed, friendly pub with great food and outstanding beers. Good conversation helped on by the landlord who is a philosopher and his wife who is a classical music enthusiast. A great place to stop off on way to West Country. Rod Paton - 9 Jun 2004 13:22 |
