Best pub for Sky Sports in T.Wells. Lager only though. pubking78 - 17 Mar 2014 14:03 |
Bigger on the inside, not a bad spot, but clearly more the lager than ale drinker. Drop in for the time it takes to down one and have a lot round. Two levels quite pleasant. Staff friendly not bad, not great wanderjahre - 16 Aug 2012 18:50 |
Doesn't look much from the outside but is rather nicely laid out inside. Guinness is good but they don't take credit cards which is a bit of a pain, friendly staff, not sure what makes it Irish but I suppose every pub needs a USP these days and it's certainly unique in The Wells. scrumweasel - 27 Nov 2009 23:52 |
nice pub for large groups, like the layout. Annabanks - 1 Nov 2007 12:21 |
Lots of posts on this site about it being a good place to go for sport. So I gave it a try. Never again! England playing on a Weds afternoon, important qualifier as well. Q,How many staff would you put on for a pub with about 150/200 people in it? A, Two! 20 minutes to get a drink from a barman who was moving up and down the bar moaning about how busy they were, and, Quote "what are all these people doing in here? Doesn't anyone work in this town?" So sorry for interupting your afternoon, but don't worry I won't do it again! nottryingtoohard - 24 Oct 2007 09:37 |
