user reviews of the Pub, Manchester
please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
First of all, the staff are pretty good here and they need to be. The clientele are some of the dregs from the nearby sink estate. Nothing to get excited about in terms of beer and its only merit is that it's open on Saturday afternoons when the Sandbar's closed. One of those places where your feet seem to stick to the floor. hurray, the new manager is really trying hard in this place and giving it some character. they still need to do something about the vagrants on their tables outside but thats not their fault. Great prices and improving staff. things are looking up. Much better than the its a scream pub over the road who seam to have a few more scum bags in there this year, especially during football pwb - 18 Oct 2008 04:00 |
This used to be a decent place. Now it seems to be inhabited by the scum of the earth. Avoid. Nige - 7 Apr 2008 12:28 |
Cheap student pub. 1.60 for lager last time I was in. Typical student pub really, friendly enough, pool tables,Sky TV.Not recommended out of term time,as manager seems to be in charge of the bar/kitchen/serving food/changing barrells etc. on his own. P.S. Why do students search high and low for the pubs with the cheapest beer then happilly play pool all night for a pound a throw? JohnZ - 3 Feb 2006 19:39 |
