One thing I will say about this place is that the staff are always exceptionally friendly. Was in here a while back when they came around with a tray of complimentary chicken wings for everyone . The lads from down south who I was with were very impressed with us 'friendly northeners'. However, the beer range is a bit uninspiring but it's still a decent place to start the night YoungSoulRebel - 27 Aug 2010 21:00 |
Expensive and often crowded with students spending their hard earned student loan. Food - very expensive. Beer - lager and bottles. No draught ale! dpaajones - 18 May 2009 21:43 |
Excellent staff - very friendly and, given I have mobility problems, they went out of their way to help out. Nicely laid out interior, relaxed atmosphere and the food looks excellent, if a little pricey. My only quibble is they could be a little more adventurous with the beer range. Here and the Sandbar are the best in the area by a mile. EFC1878 - 6 Dec 2008 16:33 |
Interesting building. Popular with posh pretentious students, not surprising as it is near the universities. Food ok but over priced. No real ales but plenty of bottled beer. Clueless barstaff. doncaosdelanada - 26 Mar 2008 13:29 |
