a very strange experience being in a pub where you are literally the only punter - the pub didn't seem that bad in itself, but felt slightly intimidated by that fact - good location though right in the centre of town.. and better than a crappy wetherspoons anyday TheGP - 12 Mar 2010 15:51 |
Under new management, apparently, but since I didn't know the old management I can't comment as to whether that's a good or bad thing. Not a great range of bitters but plenty of choice otherwise. Seemed clean enough, I was there at a dead time all round, so can't comment on atmosphere. If I return to the city I'll give it another look. Sandman - 12 Mar 2010 10:20 |
Nice pub and its a shame this is next to Wetherspoons. Lease was up for sale last time I walked past which isn't a very good sign as I would be surprised at someone wanting to take this one on. One of the only sources of Magnet in the city centre. Sharp - 16 Jun 2008 22:06 |
Superb (cheap) pint of Magnet and huge fish and chips. Hadn't been there for 3 years and very glad that memory hadn't deceived me. Old-fashioned Sheffield pub in the best way possible. pablos13 - 1 Jun 2007 18:38 |
A strange one. Cheap lager was nice to see, turned out not being nice to drink. Hallam - 20 Mar 2005 13:15 |
