| What a shame. I was living near here back in 1978 and this was my local. It was THE pub in the area in those days. The Punch Bowl next door was more down market then - what a reversal of fortunes. | Poor relation to the Punch Bowl next door, this place is usually quite quiet. There are a few locals but the pub is too dominated by quiz machines and students to feel like a true pub. Usually a couple of ales on but there are better places to go in Jesmond. Carlurmston - 29 Sep 2008 12:53 |
