Cheerful pub with good mix of regulars and passing trade. Excellent pint of Caley 80/- served by haughty-looking but briskly efficient barmaid. Chef looks like Simon Pegg. Kenny260556 - 6 May 2013 14:31 |
Called in after visites "The People's Story" and "The Edinburgh Museum" both next door and opposite. I think we were the first customers so it was difficult to fully judge. Beers though were excellent. The museums are definately worth a look and if you are there you might as well pop in for a beer. LickeyEndBooze - 9 Apr 2013 00:15 |
A pleasant old pub with a history as the name suggests. Based on two levels, a shelf runs around most of the lower bar with old pots, plates, books and other memorabilia. Located towards the lower end of the Royal Mile so probably has little passing trade and relies on its regulars. Millay - [email protected] - 27 Nov 2003 17:36 |
