| I called in on a walk around the town trail, following some pretty enthusiastic reviews from previous punters. However, I certainly wasn't impressed. There were only two real ales on, and the barman seemed to know nothing much about either of them. The "London Pride" I had was certainly nothing to be proud about, and the whole place had a slightly dispirited feel. Having said that, the outdoor drinking area at the back was sunny and pleasant. But I'd much rather do my drinking at the "Castle" a couple of doors down the street, and certainly shan't call in at this place again. chapelchap - 20 Sep 2010 19:36 |
| It has a great exterior. Really impressive. Unfortunately, I wasn't so impressed when I set foot inside with my mate. It has alot of open space - I personally prefer the smaller, pokier pubs but that's just me. The barman was friendly. Range of ale (which is why we went in) was limited.
