Average at best. Nice garden, decor OK but dining room distinctly empty, we had a table booked so had dinner - now realise why empty dining room. Would go in for a relaxing drink in the week maybe but not much more PeterClarke - 11 Apr 2011 16:18 |
Made the mistake of venturing in here for the first of England's world cup games. Although busy there was a lacking atmosphere and the staff just didnt seem interested...... Plenty on offer but not offered well!! Pride was ok but far better on offer els where!!! hsmith - 19 Jun 2010 23:07 |
Gorgeous pub.... shame about the lack of food! We went here on a Sunday hoping to have some lunch, only to be told all they could serve us was nuts or olives! They weren't even busy, and have a large area at the back specifically for dining.....why have a dedicated area and no food?! Great outdoor area for summer, they just need to sort out the food situation. BernH - 17 Mar 2009 15:11 |
We've been to this place a few times, and it's quite good - one that won't scare the ladies off too much at least. And can still get a decent pint there too. dormston - 8 Jan 2009 18:51 |
Theres not really much that I can add to the previous comments and I think that their statement that ceedoubleu has drawn attention too just about sums this place up. I will just mention that the barmaid that served me was very nice and that London Pride and Jennings Lakeland Ale were available alongside some premium lagers. Although this place is pleasant enough its not really my cup of tea, but if you like gastro youll like this place. Strongers - 6 Jun 2008 08:22 |
