Update - Being refurbished as, a pub! Looks like a fair bit of money is been spent too. JohnnyCrow - 8 Sep 2014 12:44 |
Currently closed and the builders in. Probably going to be a Tesco Metro... as there is already a Spar next door and a Co-op and a Morrison's opposite. JohnnyCrow - 23 Jul 2014 13:15 |
Hummm..... The last three posters are all showing as having only ever posted one review..... jgurney1 - 4 Jan 2014 12:47 |
A friendly welcome is always on tap when you walk through the Franklin doors! The landlady takes interest in all her customers- whether they are young or old, knowing most by name as well as what they drink! How a proper pub should be run. All staff are cheery and efficient. Public areas are clean and tidy; loo paper and soap rarely run short. The menu is varied and good value. Children friendly, if supervised! Sporting events are well catered for with big screen TVs and Sky, pool table and dart boards, in addition to varied functions including Motown nights, karaoke, Rockabilly disco and live bands. Private functions are also catered for, and good times are generally had by all. The pub is spacious inside, wheelchair friendly, and has a small outdoor seating area should you wish to catch a bit of sun and watch the world go by. Thoroughly recommended. Would have got a 10 if it had a garden, and a log fire! ciderdragon121 - 7 Oct 2013 17:04 |
I have used this pub for the past few years. It is a brilliant locals pub with some great attributes - SKY, good food menu, darts and pool room. It accommodates a good mixture of customers ranging in age from 18 to 80 years old. The Motown nights are great as well as the Rock and Roll which they have on the last Sunday of the month between 4 and 8. Visit the pub and judge for yourself. You will not be disappointed. ruffledeathers - 12 Sep 2013 19:51 |
