Huge Robinsons Pub. I was there after the diners have left, so a bit spartan with people. The Unicorn was in perfect condition. Mappiman - 18 Apr 2019 12:21 |
Twohalves has it right. Pleasant without being excellent. Good staff, for a Robinson's pub the beer is ok and a steady stream of nice customers keeps the whole place quite civilised. There is old tom in a barrel too for the more adventurous. dry_riser_inlet - 12 Jan 2013 20:32 |
Popped in for a pint on a crawl round Castleton. Four ales from Robinson's were available. Like most Castleton pubs, it was geared up for food inside, but had a pleasant outdoor area out the back with views across to Mam Tor and Hollins Cross. Seemed pleasant enough, without being particularly excellent in any way. twohalves - 10 Jul 2011 16:55 |
Stayed there on Monday evening.Small room for the price but then again it was in the touristy area.Had a meal in the restaurant which was fabulous.Menu was excellent! The real ale consisted of three local ales and they were very agreeable.Breakfast was very good as were the views from the rooms.Worth staying if you can verify the booking!! sweeties1975 - 19 Sep 2009 23:57 |
Fantastic food, but poor selection of (Robinson's) ales. adamcroft - 30 Jun 2009 10:05 |
