Thank goodness somebody had the idea/guts to run this great little/friendly pub up against the Bank Corner. At least in here you can get a reasonably priced pint and dont have to SHOUT your order. Thanks landlord/landlady - its what this town needs more of - even some of the youngsters say its a great place when you want to chat with your mates. begho50 - 9 May 2009 11:53 |
A temporary local after the Mere was ruined but frankly the real ale and choice of real ale is very poor - lucky if you get 1 decent beer otherwise it's Tetleys or Bass(I think!). They used to have Directors on regulalry bit that's topped a while ago. Friendly staff, regulars seem okay too, no problems, rarely packed or noisy. Generally okay but let down, for me anyway, by the real ale. There seems to be nowhere in Alsager where you can find half decent real ale on a regular basis (other than walking a mile out of the town ino tthe back of beyond to the Horseshoe) lemonstar - 8 Mar 2007 15:47 |
Called in after hotel bar closed at 3pm! Very lively but friendly and a great pint of skinners. Stayed for a few.I don't know how many made it out in the evening though. anonymous - 24 Jan 2007 17:51 |
