Reported as being very badly damaged by fire early on New Years Day. wirraldrinker - 1 Jan 2017 10:21 |
Brilliant stout and black IPA on yesterday. Didn't think the pales were that good though. Still a great venue now Steamer1 - 19 Mar 2016 09:30 |

A super place. Now owned by Lanes. Renamed from Redback. Spacious brewpub with well appointed/adorned side annexe hosting range of activities from comedy, circus to table tennis....simultaneous if I'm playing T-Tennis. The Micro brewery behind the bar produces a decent range of ales. Wide mix of customers. Can't comment on food except it looks popular and the tables and chairs are big and solid. Enthusiastic helpful staff. Very well served by public transport. The only negative/oddity is the beer prices seem quite random...from great value for the House brew to crikey, how much!? but that was on a busy night just before Christmas. The folk I have taken here have been mighty impressed. Just 500 yards from Acton's other super brew pub, The George & Dragon (Dragonfly brewery), makes this gem well worth travelling to. Well done Lanes! freeman - 27 Dec 2015 12:54 |
