| This place is now called Whelan's. As I'd not been before, I visited one weekday lunchtime. It is effectively an Irish bar that had a few waifs and strays (including me) populating it. I suspect many stay there for much of the day. It stays open until very late. The two ales were Fuller's London Pride & Whelan's House Ale (from Caledonian). | Won't be going again. Wine selection was poor, house only and that was French "mongrel". Wife chose the salmon because it came with new potatoes, they had not troubled the hot water for very long and were inedible. A complaint did not even get an apology.
