I went to this pub at 10pm on new years eve 1989, and there were 10 people in there! In 1991 a new owner took over and decorated it. For a while I thought it might be a good pub. Good staff, friendly publican, good regular crowd. It did not last, the publicans mates got to be regulars, and they would spend all evening swearing and cursing at full volume. Me and my mates were taking our girlfriends there, and although you expect some bad language, this was unacceptable. The next owner fancied himself as a 'gangsta' and the new customers were baseball capped knuckle draggers. A total waste drunkasusual - 19 Feb 2007 18:41 |
Mike, this "pub" has closed you say? Thank the god of pubs for righting this horrific wrong. Robbo73 - 26 Feb 2005 17:23 |
Drove past today and was delighted to see this place well and truly boarded up. Hopefully this horrifically bad boozer can now be consigned to the annals of history. mike - 12 Dec 2004 23:26 |
Horrible pub! Full of rejects from the local Sainsbury's and coppers. Very unpleasant drinking experience. Rob - 3 Jan 2003 12:34 |
Full of plastic gangsters, "geezers" and people barred from all the other boozers nearby. Run by a failed local businessman who's last venture was a cab firm. A complete craphole. tony - 30 Sep 2002 21:46 |
