| We visited a couple of weeks before Christmas (this pub is newly listed on BITE) and, although there was nobody else in apart from someone sitting at the bar, the welcome from the girl behind the bar was perfunctory to say the least. There was evidence of refurbishment in the bar (laminated wooden floor, leather bar stools, new wooden bar counter) although still some work in progress in other areas.
