Certainly the best pub we tried in the Betws-y-coed area. All but one of the pubs in the centre of town we found were hotel bars. As mentioned below, the focus seems to be on the food, which was fabulous though admittedly on the slightly more expensive end, only tried the one (Rev James) ale but it was well kept. About 15mins walk out of town across Waterloo bridge but well worth the trip if you want a character pub with great food. Mardagg - 1 Jun 2014 13:20 |
Gastropub, the food is absolutely fantastic. Although focus is on the food, they have some local beers in quality condition. MarkVP - 8 Sep 2011 13:49 |
Hotel, bar, restaurant. Place that seems to prefer diners to drinkers at lunch time. Food is very food with massive portions, size of the lamb shank is unbelievable. Sadly, one of those rural pubs, in a place where loads of dogs are taken on holiday, which despite having no carpets, won't allow dogs in the bar. Because of the dog rule, there will be 2 empty chairs in the bar this Saturday lunchtime. son_of_odin - 26 Aug 2010 07:42 |
