| A bearded Scotsman from Edinburgh we met in The Orange Tree recommended this place for the food. The pub has a pool table and smallish bar for mainly locals on the left hand side and a much larger dining area to the right, making it feel slightly more restaurant than pub. Being Scottish myself, I accepted his advice and went off in search of the 2 courses for �10 option. This is a very small selective option and we couldn't find anything we fancied to eat. Ended up ordering from the proper menu, which wasn't quite so cheap. My steak pie and french fries was faultless, but then again, it's not the most difficult dish to perfect and �13.50 for a samllish portion is taking the piss slightly. Having said that, my sister's rack of lamb was massive and very tasty. Was very busy and we got the impression that the food had already established itself with the more affluent locals.
