My local! The Ealing Ex Service mans club, After 17 years of drinking here I think I am 100% qualified to review this place. Its effectually a working mans club by day, A nice LONDON pub. it opens at in the evening in weekdays, on the weekends there is live music by live acts from across the country there is card bingo ( which is fun) and cash prices and well as raffles for drinks. The atmosphere is one of a friendly one, There sadly is a few assholes, who can ruin things. Mainly ex and current committee members (sadly a lot of nice places is ruined by the committee and there powers) There sadly isnt that many drinks available so if youre an Ale drinker or Real Cider drinker Dont stop here. Fosters, Carlsberg, 1664, guniness, theakston mild, are the only real pumps they have. Ciders include Bulmerand well just bottled to the point. The prices I would say are reasonable. 2.50 on avg, which is good for a Ealing club. It is a members only club but many outsiders are welcomed Ive yet to see somebody be turned away without good reason. There are quite a few theme nights like Elvis nights or Ladies nights, poker nights, and race nights, also sometimes cider farm trips and seaside trips. There is a upstairs with pool table priced 60p, dart boards downstairs, and another bar for parties and things upstairs again. The negatives with the club is it is a family club so kids do run around (not in your way but it happens) , the beers arent always well kept I have had a few bad pints there in the last 12months and had a iffy tummy and I wasnt the only one. Again certain committee members or is he an Ex committee can be somewhat annoying and in your face. Limited selection of beers and ciders and ales. The positives Great prices, friendly people, good vibe, good beer most of the time, clean toilets, cheep pool table, clean glasses, good music, fruit machines, friendly staff I could go tbh. Id say its aimed at over 50s+ BUT aged 23 me and my boys love the place always a real laugh and a funky time. Pop in for a drink there. Nice place! Alice Draven AliceDraven - 14 Mar 2011 21:14 |
Clean and tidy Working Mans Club. No real ale, but cheap and cheerful. doolally - 19 Apr 2010 22:04 |
