| This is a pub which me and my family have been going to for years as we love the food and it is reasonably priced. Tonight me and my fiancé arrived with our 5 month old baby who was at the time fast asleep in his car seat. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by a very rude lady telling us we had to leave as they don't allow children under 10 years of age. I'd understand if our baby was old enough to run around and cause mischief or if the pub was a local 'boozer' but this is a pub/restaurant which I used to think welcomed families. We will not be going back here as we were spoken to so rudely in front of the whole pub who by this time were all staring at us as we were told to leave. We have never been so embarrassed. | Clean and tidy little pub with very comely barmaid and nice garden. Beer was well kept but a rather boring selection (Young's Bitter, London Pride and Adnam's Broadside - I think it was Broadside). An exceptionally clean pub. I always look for details like the top of sauce bottles and these were spotless. An enjoyable mixed grill at a reasonable price. Genuinely friendly staff. Large garden with a real sense of being high up in the Chiltern Hills. Selection of beer but I was on cola so cannot comment. pedantnic - 30 May 2011 01:54 |
