My first London pub in 1985 was the Moscow Arms. Went back again in 2000 & it was a Weatherspoons or something, which was OK to take my Mum to. Went back again in '03 & it was some Gastro shite, but I had to walk Moscow Road due to Tim Curry's "I Do The Rock" martineaux - 14 Jul 2009 16:53 |
In the mid '80's...it was called 'The Moscow Arms'..and this pub was jumping and was the place to go in the area. This pub would be included in a pub crawl that would included The Sun in Splendour in Portobello Rd...The Samuel Smith around the corner from that...then up to the Moscow. You'd often get popstars and celebs in here and a real cross of London clientel....punks...city gents...goths...aussies and kiwis...all drinking together with never any trouble.A good pulling pub and a cracking juke box.Glory days these were....and well missed....so 8 for the memories. sexysadie - 1 Dec 2008 22:33 |
Load of b*llocks - false; go somewhere else if you want any credibility cuttysark - 12 May 2005 23:54 |
One of the worst Pubs in the London, but only place in Queensway to watch the match. Filthy inside & no ventaltion so bloody smokey (even for a smoker). Projector telly is useless in the daytime, pool tables slope & the gents are truely third world. Once caught a mouse running around the place (with an ashtray). Do not eat here if you want to live.
