It's part of the Taylor Walker pub chain now, rather than Rat & Parrot. Compared to the other 2 Taylor Walker pubs within the area (the Kings Head is only 100m away), it has a much smaller range of cask beers - both handpumps tonight were Youngs London Gold - unfortunately my choice in the KIngs Head!

Oh dear, one thing you expect pubs to have is an adequate supply of beer but the Youngs Ordinary clip was reversed and the London Gold ran out halfway through our order. No suggestion that one of the staff would nip down to the cellar and change the barrel - although the manager finally seemed to be attending to this when we left - and the clueless barperson suggested a pint of Kronenbourg instead (there being no other real ale on offer). That aisde, from the street the pub looks a bit squashed under a dull office block and decor-wise it is wholly unremarkable. They have also tried to cram too many tables into certain parts of the bar (making access to the ladies toilet rather tricky, for example).

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been in England.
Very bad welcoming, bad food, it was very cold, the staff wasn't kind at all, and I think that icecubes are not necessary when the temperature borders 10 degrees inside the room.

Alright but very lacking in atmosphere. Pretty much all tourist clientele and no cask ales. Fine as a meeting place though, a minute from the tube and perfectly safe. Just a bit dull.

Has a very pleasant atmosphere, but the range of beers on offer is not impressive. Just the usual stuff found in a local off-licence.
