Looks like no-one's been here for six years!! Went in for a quick drink after looking for large blue butterflies just up the road. A lot of work being done to bring it more up to date, and not at all a bad place for a pint of (only) Wadworths. Didn't try the food.

Very unusual experience visiting the Daneway. On arriving through the car park at the back you are greeted by chickens and chicks roaming the garden. The bold ones will even leap onto your bench seat to join you for lunch. Inside the pub is homely with lots of horse related prints and staff are relaxed and friendly. There was a couple playing a mandolin type instrument and singing. A piano was also spotted in one of the bars but was unplayed. Wadworth range of beers - tried the Summersault which was good (3.10 - not cheap for Gloucestershire but well kept which is a big plus). Food was OK - plentiful portions of pub grub. Overall a very relaxing place where anything goes really, just go with the flow....

Went there tonight , not what I expected from the last review.Beer just ok ,I had Wadworths dragon ale 4.5.very expensive at 3.15 wow.Very friendly land lord though, in the middle of nowhere.I went to the Crown at Frampton Mansel just down the road, superb pub really clean and tidy ,nice beer .I had a pint of Stroud ales 4.5 (cannot remember the actual name of the beer) and cheap.Nice for a ride in the sticks.

Probably the second best of 10 pubs we visited last Friday. The pub is located in old millworkers houses and both the lounge and the public bar have plenty of character. The pub is a Wadworth pub with Henry's IPA, 6X and Summersault on our visit. Weston's Old Rosie cider was also available. The food looked good.
