| Visited here last week for a weekday afternoon pint. At the bar are 6 pumps, 3 offering Mordue ales, 3 offering Wylam. I went for a pint of the Mordue IPA, 5.1% at £2.50 which is pretty reasonable! This is a fairly pleasant large town centre pub. However the graffiti in the gents suggests that this may not always be a quiet pleasant place. | Since the demise of the Smith & Jones pub chain a while back this has been taken over by new management. The beer range and quality has improved immeasurably with up to six beers from Wylam and Mordue breweries. The only downside is the volume of the music. You can hardly hear yourself think.
